The Video Editor will be responsible for producing engaging, educational, and high-quality video content for YouTube and social media platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, creativity, and a strong understanding of video storytelling and current digital trends. This role focuses primarily on editing tutorial-style videos and repurposing long-form content into shorter, eye-catching clips for social media.

**Objectives of this role:**
* Increase the brands online visibility through engaging, well-produced video content.
* Deliver tutorial videos that educate and inspire viewers, reflecting the companys expertise and community focus.
* Repurpose long-form content into short, impactful clips optimized for different social media channels.
**Responsibilities:**
* Edit tutorial and educational videos for YouTube and other platforms, ensuring quality and consistency.
* Repurpose YouTube content into short-form videos suitable for Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok.
* Apply color grading, visual effects, transitions, and graphics to enhance viewer engagement.
* Research video trends and competitor content to suggest creative ideas and formats.
* Collaborate closely with the business owner to align on content goals, storytelling direction, and brand tone.
* Share ideas and suggestions openly during the creative process to improve video quality and viewer engagement.
* Provide constructive feedback on filming or editing improvements to enhance future content.
* Maintain a consistent brand voice, aesthetic, and message across all platforms.
**Required skills and qualifications:**
* Proven experience as a Video Editor, preferably creating tutorial or educational video content.
* Proficiency in editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
* Strong understanding of YouTube and social media platforms, including current video trends and best practices.
* Excellent storytelling ability with attention to pacing, flow, and viewer engagement.
* Comfortable communicating and sharing creative input not shy, and willing to suggest new ideas or improvements.
* Proactive and creative thinker with the ability to research trends and bring fresh perspectives.
* Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
**Preferred skills and qualifications**
* Background in video marketing or visual content creation for brand growth.
* Experience in crafting content tailored to an older yet digitally active audience.
* Familiarity with YouTube analytics and social media performance metrics.
