Your Specific Responsibilities:
This position serves as a Local Veterans’ Employment Representative (LVER ) responsible for assisting with the development of the service delivery strategies for veterans and educating partner staff with current employment initiatives and programs for veterans. This position confers with the supervisor to assist in identifying improvement processes and develop solutions for the Job for Veterans State Grant (JVSG) program.
Performs duties outlined in Title 38 of the United States Code (U.S.C.), 4104(b)(1)(2) , as amended by Public Law 100-323. The incumbent will assure that the local office is in compliance with Federal Regulations, standards of performance and contractual provisions of the grant agreement mandating special services for Veterans. The following duties are included in this code:

As a condition of pre-employment eligibility, a Level 2 security background screening is required, which consists of fingerprinting and a check of local, state, and national law enforcement records.

The Work You Will Do:
The Local Veterans’ Employment Representative GOCII performs duties set forth in Title 38 of the United State Code (U.S.C.) as amended by Public Law 107-288, the Veterans’ Program Plan of Services and the State’s Roles and Responsibilities for DVOP’s and LVER’s. The incumbent will assure the CareerSource Center compliance with Federal Regulations, standards of performance and contractual provisions of the grant agreement mandating special services for veterans. The incumbent provides direct workforce services to veterans and employers on behalf of veterans. The LVER Government Operations Consultant II is a member of the Florida Commerce team with CareerSource Palm Beach County.
