We’re currently seeking dedicated Laundry Aides for the Healthcare Center at Luther Acres, the Luthercare community in Lititz, PA. We are currently hiring for a FT, 8A-4P position every other weekend, every other holidaye

WHAT YOU DO:  

As a Laundry Aide at Luther Acres, you provide quality, efficient laundry services to ensure our skilled nursing care residents have clean and sanitary linens and garments. Among your responsibilities, you will: 

1. Collect resident clothing and Healthcare Center linens to be cleaned and ensure all standards and procedures are followed. 
2. Label all laundry using a computerized label machine and heat seal press and maintain an inventory book of all resident clothing/linens brought to the department for labeling. 
3. Operate a commercial washing machine and dryer, and complete ironing of personal laundry when needed.
4. Deliver all linens to linen closets throughout the Healthcare Center and all residents’ personal laundry back to their rooms. 
5. Clean and sanitize equipment and machines, maintain inventory of laundry supplies, and inspect and monitor procedures to ensure high quality and efficient work. 
6. Assist with housekeeping tasks at times. 

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:  

1. High school diploma or equivalent 
2. One (1) year of laundry experience 
3. Ability to lift up twenty-five (25) to fifty (50) pounds frequently 
4. Ability to bend, stoop, reach, pull and push frequently, climb and sit occasionally 
5. One (1) year experience demonstrating knowledge of infection control principles in a long-term care setting.
