Job Description

Join our team as a Clinical Field Educator (RN) and make a meaningful impact by training, mentoring, and supporting new field clinicians. This role blends hands-on instruction with collaborative coaching to strengthen both patient care and clinician performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and guide new field clinicians through an 8-week orientation program.
• Assess clinical skills and knowledge to ensure readiness for independent practice.
• Facilitate performance-based learning pathways tailored to individual needs.
• Provide in-field coaching and small group training sessions.
• Customize orientation plans and implement remediation strategies when needed.
• Track progress, document performance, and address areas of concern.
• Oversee preceptor assignments and provide clear direction.
• Conduct orientation calls and communicate readiness plans with leadership.
• Perform clinical skill checks and evaluate competency for patient visits.
• Identify and support first-year clinicians requiring additional guidance.
• Develop, implement, and document remediation plans as appropriate.

Schedule & Shift Details

• Monday–Friday with occasional evening and weekend requirements.
• Week 1: In-person training.
• Weeks 2–8: Primarily remote with scheduled in-field training.

Travel

• Routine travel within the Grand Rapids area (approximately 1–1.5 hours).
