Summary Stone Brewing is searching for a
Seasonal Event Server to join our
Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens team to support over the winter (October - January). This role is responsible for providing exceptional service to fans during private events and special occasions. The Event Server will ensure that all guests have a memorable dining experience, from planning and executing the event details to delivering high-quality service during the event.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a seasonal position with the primary purpose being to support our Bistro operations during the high- volume holiday season (October - January). If another Regular Part-Time role becomes available during this time, the Seasonal Event Server is welcome to apply to the position. Responsibilities - Welcome and greet fans as needed. Make all our fans feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them.
- Banquet set-up and tear down to include proper handling of table linens, place settings & glassware, table and chairs and food buffet. Setup and breakdown of service areas and bars when needed
- Sets banquet rooms according to function sheet, diagrams and written/verbal instructions.
- Deliver food and beverages from service kitchen and bar to guests in a timely matter, according to event specifications
- Demonstrate clear and open communication between all Team Members and event guests
- Monitor and observe fan’s experience. Ensure fans are satisfied with the food and service and respond promptly and courteously to any requests.
- Advises supervisor of any fan complaints.
- Clears soiled dishes, glassware, and cutlery as needed.
- Follow company, local, state, and federal health and food safety practices at all times, which includes maintaining a clean and organized work area.
Requirements - High School Diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of related experience and/or training in a service oriented business. At least 1 year of related experience as an Event Server or similar strongly preferred.
- Experience with Ctuit, GoTab, and/or Open Table desirable.
- Must have a current San Diego County Food Handlers card, issued by the County of San Diego. Must possess a current RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) training certificate. Certified Beer Server preferred.
- Must have reliable transportation as this role requires occasional travel to events and other Stone locations.
Compensation, Benefits & Perks - Pay Rate: $20.00/hr.
