Summary

Peachtree Academy is a Christian focused Pre-K through 12th grade school located in Covington, Georgia. This position is for the fall of 2024. The teacher will teach:

• Chemistry and Physical Science
• Salary dependent upon experience
• Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers.
• Compile, administer, and grade examinations, or assign this work to others.
• Prepare course materials, such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.
• Maintain student attendance records, grades, and other required records.
• Maintain regularly class hours to advise and assist students.
• Plan, evaluate, and revise curricula, course content, and course materials and methods of instruction.
• Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
• Advise students on academic and vocational curricula and on career issues.
• Collaborate with colleagues to address teaching and research issues.
• Serve on academic or administrative committees that deal with institutional policies, departmental matters, and academic issues.
• Participate in student recruitment, registration, and placement activities.
• Perform administrative duties, such as serving as department head.

• Write lesson plans that are cross curricular

Our school is a State of Art Private PreK through 12th-grade private school. We are accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools / Advanc-ED and we strive to challenge our students each and every day. The early childhood division of the school bases its academic program on a weekly unit of study for academic advancement. Teachers use lesson plans to guide the delivery of information and address individual issues of advanced skill levels or areas of improvement that are needed. Parents may supplement curriculum by bringing in books, materials, or ideas related to the theme for the benefit of the class.
