POSITION OVERVIEW

The  Regional Managing Director of Property Management for the Mid-Atlantic Region plays an integral role in the success of Stream’s Management platform. The position is based in Stream’s Downtown Washington, DC office and is responsible for the overall operations and financial performance of our 100-person commercial property management division with 12M square feet of office and industrial management assignments across Washington, DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland, with additional oversight of select properties in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and New York City. This is an exciting opportunity for an accomplished and strategic leader to join a dynamic and growing market. This individual will provide leadership to a talented management team while strengthening client partnerships and ensuring the continued growth of our platform.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversight and supervision of the existing property management staff.
  • Adequately staff all management assignments.
  • Identify, attract, hire, and retain top talent in the property management industry across all disciplines.
  • Build employee teams and provide training, motivation, and direction for superior performance.
  • Resolve day-to-day property management issues.
  • Coordinate and review budget/cam rec process.
  • Facilitate teamwork and communication across divisions and departments.
  • Build and maintain excellent relationships with clients.
  • Serve as point person for property management clients.
  • Complete annual performance reviews on direct reports by setting clear direction that aligns the PM team with the overall strategy of the company.
  • Ensure best practices are implemented and followed.
  • Coordinate and conduct annual Property Management audits.
  • Collaborate with National Managing Director of Property Management and other Directors of PM to provide consistency across the company’s platform.
  • Participate in creating and implementing national standard policies and procedures.
  • Advocate and effectively implement any needed change in the company’s PM platform.
  • Manage financial performance of the property management business units.
  • Business development of property management assignments – including the development of RFP responses and presentation.
  • Client interaction and new business pursuits.
  • Analyze the profitability of each assignment and proposed assignment.
  • Cross-sell and promote all of Stream’s services and business lines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Real Estate, or related field required.
  • 10+ years management experience with significant supervisory responsibility and relevant property management/or commercial real estate experience.
  • Third-Party property management services experience highly preferred.
  • CPM, CCIM, CPA, RPA designations desired.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and computer literate.
  • Business development experience.
