Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, location and salary range at the time of the offer._ **Responsibilities** Collect and process blood specimens for testing and performs multiple clerical and processing functions. + Set up instruments. Maintain, clean, and sterilize equipment and work area following safety, cleanliness, and infection control procedures. + Receive, centrifuge, accession, process and transport specimens. Verify all related records. May draw and collect blood samples according to policy. + Order add-on tests, work pending lists, and resolve duplicate orders. + Perform clerical duties which may include answering phones, reviewing EKGs, collecting patient demographic data for patient registration, ordering tests, reviewing Advance Beneficiary Notice of Noncoverage (ABN), data entry and filing. **Requirements** Licensure / Certification / Registration: + Preferred Credential(s):- BLS Provider. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.- Certification specializing in Phlebotomy credentialed from the American Society for ClinicalPathology Board of Certification (ASCP-BOC).- Phlebotomy Tech.- Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Society for Clinical Pathology Board ofCertification (ASCP-BOC).- Medical Laboratory Assistant credentialed from the American Medical Technologists (AMT).- Tech credentialed from the American Society of Phlebotomy Technicians. All issuing authoritiesaccepted.
