**Job Description** High School Diploma, 3-5 years' experience in all facets of insulation & lagging onboard military or commercial vessels. Insulator is responsible for removals & application of several types of shipboard insulation and lagging listed below. 1) Hullboard Insulation located in overheads & bulkheads onboard various Vessels. 2) Rubber & Fiberglass Pipe covering installed on hot & cold, chill water & electronic cooling water piping systems onboard various Vessels. 3) Flat Rubber installed on ventilation ducting, pumps, valves and flanges of piping systems onboard various Vessels. 4) Fire Master Insulation installed on overheads, bulkheads & ducting systems on LCS class Naval Vessels. 5) Lagging Pads installed on various piping systems and exhaust systems onboard various Vessels. 6) Spray shields installed on various fuel & lube oil piping systems as well as Masker air systems onboard various Vessels. 7) Hard lagging (Mineral Wool or Calsil Block) installed exhaust systems onboard various Vessels. **Required Education, Experience, & Skills** High School Diploma, 3-5 years' experience in all facets of insulation & lagging onboard military or commercial vessels. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
