Job Description

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform hardware validation on consumer electronics – VR headsets.
• Generate power characterization test plans, data reporting, and documentation.
• Support prototype bring-up and debugging.
• Perform system-level PMIC validations, including:
• Power ON/OFF sequence
• Load and line regulations/transients
• Charge/discharge profiles
• Collaborate with Contract Manufacturing (CM) to:
• Review validation plans
• Analyze test data
• Resolve hardware issues
• Develop automation scripts in Python to reduce validation cycle time.  

Skills:

• Proficiency with lab equipment: Oscilloscope, power supply, electronic load, function generator, thermal chamber, and DAQ system.
• Experience with DC/DC regulators, battery power management, charge/discharge profiles, and lithium-ion batteries.
• Understanding of power trees and PDN analysis.
• Familiarity with ADB (Shell scripting experience is a plus).
• Writing automation scripts in Python.
• Working in power electronics.
• Operating in a lab environment (power supplies, function generators, etc.).
• Using battery emulators.
• Experience with NI DAQ (National Instruments DAQ).
• Power measurement skills:
• Measuring power consumption in different use cases
• Writing automation scripts
• Running automation scripts using NI DAQ
• Strong knowledge of Python.
• Familiarity with ADB for device communication.  

Education/Experience:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent studies (Master’s preferred).
• 4+ years in consumer electronics power validations and hardware debugging.
• 2+ years in automation using Python.
